Where To Eat Guide is seeking a highly motivated, seasoned Independent Contract Advertising Sales Executive to drive sales revenue and growth for the company. This is a “hunter” role and provides exceptional players with uncapped earning potential as well as professional development. Where To Eat Guide digital platform drives tourism business directly to local restaurants, tasting rooms, and other food and beverage establishments. 

Our ideal candidate understands developing new businesses is a priority. The candidate will need to cold call and pursue sales opportunities and account development. The candidate must manage accounts after closing and have a proven track record for attracting and retaining business. Ability to make solid presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and highly goal-oriented to achieve sales targets. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sale, from the initial call to closing the deal. We handle all billing and collections internally.

Requirements, Experience, and Attributes of Ideal Candidates:

  • Complete understanding of independent contract work 
  • Associate's degree preferred + 5 years of outside sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurance
  • Savvy traveler understanding of navigating airports, rental car centers, and hotels
  • Solid prospecting skills. Committed to consistent daily selling behaviors
  • Well-networked in the marketplace. Should be involved with industry associations and have a strong personal network
  • Ability to get in front of high-level decision-makers
  • Consultative selling experience is a must
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Experience with and comfort entertaining clients in a social setting.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, well versed in Google Apps, Word, Excel (Adobe InDesign a plus), and cloud-based Customer Relations Manager platforms
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in social media marketing across all leading apps (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Trustworthy, honest, high-energy, driven, strong work ethic, good sense of humor
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy
    Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required
