All the Delicious Things at Eat Drink SF!

From August 25th to 28th, the Bay Area’s most adventurous foodies celebrated the culinary excellence of restaurants, breweries, wineries, and bars at Eat Drink SF. From food and drink demonstrations to small bites and sips, this event was one for the books. For two days we ate and drank our way through the Fort Mason Center to sample from some of the best chefs and mixologists in the industry.

The Friday Night Grand Tasting included some of the best small bites, and we left with our bellies extremely full. A favorite dish of the night was from Mayfield Bakery and Cafe in Palo Alto, CA. The brisket slider was both savory and sweet. With each bite we got a taste of tender meat, sweet stone fruit slaw, and brioche bun toasted to perfection. Tacolicious served a stellar fresh ceviche with small pieces of nectarine and cucumber. These unique flavors paired perfectly with the saltiness of the chip underneath. Dessert was a foie gras ice cream with powdered foie gras sugar-coated duck bacon bits on top from Hudson Valley Foie Gras.

A perfect end to our first night!

The Saturday Night Grand Tasting continued to wow us. First stop: Ramen Bar where we had sushi rolled to perfection, my friends. The salmon handroll was flavorful and fresh. Our favorite dish of the weekend hands down came from Causwells: a bed of avocado mousse and fresh ricotta topped with a small cut of pork loin. The salty perfection of the pork mixed with the creaminess of the avocado and ricotta was the perfect combination.

Who's ready for next year?!
