Tried Cafe Nell for the first time today with a gift card through my work. Cafe Nell is on Kearney, west of the Pearl and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Portland, which I enjoyed. Its also close to a streetcar line, so if no one wants to walk they have that option.
The menu is creative, and the chicken sandwich I had was very good. Sat at the bar, which is a small area, but didn’t see the rest of the restaurant. I enjoyed the stone bar top and the setting. I’d like to try the brunch menu for Sundays, which looked very good.
Good spot, out of downtown Portland. Seems like a great place for a date night.
