It’s Patio Season, Seattle!

Like the petals of a Skagit County tulip, Seattle’s outdoor patio scene springs to life with the approach of summer.  There are several great options out there for all survivors of the seemingly endless months of drizzle.  Grab your sunglasses and get down to one of these enticing Seattle patios!

Maximilien is a French restaurant located in the historic Pike Place Market.  It has a spacious deck above Puget Sound with a stunning backdrop of the Olympics.  How often do you get to relax on an outdoor patio where the briny aroma of the sea takes your mind away to a relaxed and happy state?  Maximilien’s deck is the perfect place to bring a loved one, not only to gaze into their eyes, but to let Puget Sound and the Olympics mesmerize you while sipping fine champagne, nibbling on escargots, and indulging in a romantic moment

Little Water Cantina is a local watering hole located in the Eastlake neighborhood, nestled next to Lake Union.  Not only is this the place to visit for some Mexican margaritas made with 100% blue agave tequila, but it is also where you experience a truly remarkable view of Lake Union and all the lake activities taking place.  One of the best days to visit Little Water Cantina’s patio is Tuesday because of the Seattle sailboat race.  The race is called “duck dodge,” and Little Water Cantina’s patio gives you a first class view of the race, which runs well into the summer evenings.  You will also view kayakers, paddle board racers, and a frequent stream of seaplanes arriving and departing while enjoying a picante margarita on the rocks and some fresh made guacamole.

Cafe Campagne is one of the most loved establishments in the historic Pike Place Market. Its outdoor patio is located in Post Alley and is a convenient place to people watch.  There is never a dull moment people watching in the market!  Café Campagne’s French cuisine is authentic and delicious and will remind you of hanging out at an outdoor café in Paris, sans cigarettes.  The menus offer many delicious French choices to satisfy all types of hungry patrons. Happy hour menu options range from mini lamb burgers, pommes frites, and pork rillettes to moules marinere and petite tarte flambée.  Accompany your dining choices with a carafe of house wine.
