Oregon Tourism Resident Sentiment Survey

Oregon’s tourism future doesn’t begin with visitors — it begins with residents.

Travel Oregon has officially launched its 2026 Resident Sentiment Survey, now open through March 31. This statewide effort gathers insight directly from Oregonians about quality of life, how tourism impacts their communities, and overall support for the visitor economy.

The survey serves as a key benchmark in Travel Oregon’s 10-Year Strategic Vision, measuring progress and helping guide a destination stewardship approach — one that balances economic vitality with community wellbeing. Results from the 2024 survey generated nearly 7,000 responses, thanks in large part to industry partners who shared the survey across their networks. Those insights allowed for county-level reporting and helped shape strategic priorities statewide.

Now, Travel Oregon is asking partners once again to help amplify the survey. The goal: collect enough responses to continue meaningful county-level reporting and ensure every region of the state is represented.

Full results from the 2026 survey will be released in May/June on Travel Oregon’s website.

If you’re part of Oregon’s hospitality, tourism, or business community, consider sharing the survey. A promotional toolkit — along with past survey results — is available to support distribution efforts.
