There are thousands of places across San Francisco to enjoy after work libations. Here are a few favorites to get you started.
Perbacco is a fabulous find in the Financial District of downtown San Francisco. Since it is open for lunch, I have found myself guilty of blending the lunch hour into the after work hours. Even though there isn’t a designated happy hour menu, Perbacco is a perfect place to unwind with your colleagues and have some amazing Italian food. RIght now the menu has a flavorful baby beet salad with blackberries, which pairs well with a sparkling prosecco. You can never go wrong with selecting one of the house made pasta dishes and coupling it with a bottle of Barolo.
La Hora Feliz a Mamacita! Located on Chestnut Street in the heart of the Marina District, Mamacita is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the city. Although it is impossible to turn down anything from this place, a few favorites at happy hour are Barbacoa de Chivo, Carnitas and Gorditas. And, of course we can’t forget about the libations. The happy hour menu includes Mezcal, Michelada, and Margaritas! The food is delicious and sourced responsibly, but if you want a spot at the bar for the popular happy hour, you better come early and line up outside.
Happy hour at the Cigar Bar is a downtown San Francisco favorite because not only do they have a nice outdoor heated patio, but they also have happy hour specials, crafted cocktails, and cigars! You’ll find happy hour specials during the week. Monday through Thursday $2 snacks and 10% off all bottles of wine are offered. Stay a little later than happy hour, and you’ll catch some local musicians sharing their favorite tunes.
Who doesn’t love a nice cold beer? Heading to a Giants game and need a place to pre-party? 21st Amendment is located in the SOMA district, just a few short blocks from the stadium. This brewery is thoughtful in crafting brews. With year round and seasonal selections, you are bound to find a few beers that will satisfy your taste buds..
It is always ‘happy hour’ when drinking champagne. The Bubble Lounge is a sophisticated champagne bar that offers over 300 champagnes and small plates to accompany your bubbly selection. Have a few bottles of champagne here, and all the stress and any unpleasantness from your work week will dissipate while you unwind and relax in the comfy couches and lounge chairs.
