Something Exciting for Hotel Guests in Seattle!

Emerald city Introduces “Seattle in Bloom” Hotel Promotion for August

Hotel guests can enjoy a complimentary bouquet of fresh flowers courtesy of downtown Seattle hotels

SEATTLE – Peony, sunflowers, and lavender, oh my! Visit Seattle is rolling out a new promotion for hotel guests this summer to celebrate the city’s reopening.  Throughout August, overnight guests at downtown Seattle hotels will enjoy a complimentary bouquet of Pike Place Market’s famous flowers as part of the organization’s new “Seattle in Bloom” promotion.

“Pike Place Market’s flowers are a beloved token of our city for tourists and locals alike,” said Anna Hughes, Director of Sales and Marketing, Crowne Plaza Seattle. “With this symbol of our appreciation, the hospitality community hopes to express at least some of our gratitude for the Market’s part in helping Seattle rebuild.”

Guests who stay in a downtown hotel during the month of August will receive a $15 Bloom Bucks voucher, redeemable at select flower vendors at Pike Place Market.  To access the voucher, guests will be asked to bring proof of their hotel reservation—printed or via mobile device—to the Visit Seattle concierge Pike Place Market. Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.

Pike Place Market is known for its beautiful bouquets of Washington-grown flowers. Some of the flower vendors have been selling at the Market for decades.

“The Market is beyond thrilled to welcome back our visitors from around the world with this partnership,” said Mary Bacarella, Executive Director at Pike Place Market PDA. “Each stunning bouquet is produced by local farms and by generations of Market farmers. This is a unique opportunity to visit the Market and brighten your day with a world-class bouquet, shop our hundreds of small businesses and dine at any of our numerous eateries. Everyone should take home a piece of our world-renowned Pike Place Market!”

Participating guests are encouraged to post on social media using the hashtags #SeattleBloomBucks and #VisitSeattle. Details on the promotion can be found at http://seattleinbloom.org/.
