For years, “The Hill” has been a hotbed of trendy bars and restaurants, although some seem to fade out as quickly as they pop up. The hot spots we’re highlighting today have stood the test of time with amazing menus, delicious drinks, and passionate people running the show.

Owner and chef, Roshita Shrestha keeps it real and keeps the menu delicious with dishes cultivated from her culinary roots. Authenticity is the key here, and drinks like the “Everest Base Camp” and “Hot Night in Kathmandu” are the perfect complements to the captivating curries that you’ll be climbing mountains to get back to.

Poquitos was pieced together like a puzzle as the owners carefully crafted the experience and ambiance they wanted to deliver to diners and drinkers from all over. Striving for authenticity from every angle, the menu offers fabulous fare and unexpected treats like Chapulines (toasted grasshoppers!) and a roster of tasty tacos that has had people coming back for years.

It’s fitting that this particular pub is part of the “Staples Restaurant Group,” as Quinn’s surely qualifies as a staple of the Capitol Hill food and drink scene. Perched properly on Pike Street in the heart of the hill’s bustling businesses, the bar’s carefully curated concoctions and bountiful beer list are only equaled by the fabulous foods fancied here which are all topped by what many consider to be the best burger in town.
Since the day this place opened, Rein Haus has been a beer pouring powerhouse that not even a name change could derail. Making lists and earning awards is nothing new for these folks, although the focus is always on making sure a good time with bocce ball and boots full of beer is being had by all, with guaranteed good results. With summer weather sneaking up on us, the Rein Haus patio is about to be one of the Hill’s hottest haunts.

I’ve got three words for you. Fried Chicken Friday. This captivating culinary event has been the stuff of legend for years, and I imagine the fine folks that run this establishment will have customers wandering in for as long as they can keep churning chickens out in three piece portions of buttermilk-dipped deliciousness.
