You are looking for a great place to have breakfast and watch some football or bring your family to kick off a weekend full of activities. Well, Beardslee Public House has you covered. This place has something for everyone, from its friendly and upbeat staff to its large and well-placed TVs. I recently got to try its new breakfast menu that showcases a wide array of dishes created by Executive Chef Jed Laprade with input from Chefs John Howie and Roberto Dominguez.
Chorizo Brick Oven Baked Eggs
Starting with the most popular item, the Chorizo Brick Oven Baked Eggs are made with sweet potato hash, house-made Mexican chorizo, eggs, salsa Roja, avocado, and queso fresco. This is a great dish to order when you’re looking for something hearty and warm during these cold winter mornings.
Eggs Benedict
A favorite of Chef John Howie’s and myself is the Eggs Benedict. It is made with English muffins baked in the house every morning, pork loin, poached egg, hollandaise, and house-cured Canadian bacon. Trying this for the first time instantly put a smile on my face and is a dish that will have you wanting more.
Apple Cinnamon French Toast and Seasonal Fruit Pancakes
If eggs aren’t your thing, a couple of other great options are the Apple Cinnamon French Toast and Seasonal Fruit Pancakes. These high-quality dishes raise the bar on the breakfast classics, and you really can’t go wrong with ordering either one of them.
Peppercorn Bloody Mary
Beyond the main dishes mentioned above, there are a couple of other items worth checking out, the Tempura Bacon with Maple Sambal dipping sauce and the Peppercorn Bloody Mary. Both articles offer an additional kick of flavor that will round out your experience.
