The savory flavor of pork and onions, brightened by juicy, sweet and tart pineapple… there’s just something amazing about tacos al pastor. While you’ll find some excellent tacos al pastor at many a Mexican eatery around the city, these are some of the spots with some noteworthy methods of making these amazing tacos.

Los Agaves | 1514 Pike Place Market Avenue, #7 | 206-504-0202

Authentic Mexican street food meets Pacific Northwest ingredients at Los Agaves’ taco bar in Pike Place Market. Los Agaves’ pop-up stand takes center stage at many neighborhood farmer’s markets so that you can get your tacos al pastor fix throughout the city.

Los Chilangos | 14008 NE 8th Street, Bellevue | 425-221-7623

Whether you’re dining from their food truck in Bellevue, or you’re digging into a plate of tacos at a local farmer’s market, the al pastor tacos from Los Chilangos are delicious! The pork is marinated in a special house mixture of seasonings and sauce, then piled onto corn tortillas and topped with fresh pineapple, onions, cilantro, lime and your choice of salsa.

Mama's Cantina | 2234 2nd Avenue | 206-728-6262

The Belltown neighborhood and Seattle as a whole rejoiced when we got Mama’s Cantina back! The tacos al pastor at this joint have a different name, but they’re exceptional… order up the Mojo Pork tacos. These babies have savory pork that’s topped with scallions, cilantro and of course, pineapple (in salsa form at Mama’s).

Poquitos | 1000 E Pike Street | 206-453-4216

If you’re grabbing tacos on Capitol Hill, Poquitos is another prime spot in addition to the Mezcaleria Oaxaca location. Their al pastor tacos are gluten free, with chile marinated pork, diced onion, pineapple, avocado-tomatillo sauce, and guajillo salsa. That’s some serious flavor!
