In celebration of RingSide Fish House's Dollar Oyster Mondays (D.O.M.) one-year anniversary and upcoming National Oyster Day, RingSide is hosting an Oyster Shuck-Off In The Park event on Tuesday, August 1st from 4-6pm in Director Park (815 SW Park Ave).
This Shuck-Off event features two friendly competitions between three of Downtown Portland's best seafood restaurants - RingSide Fish House, South Park Seafood, and Headwaters. The first competition is for "People's Choice Best Bite" - each chef will bring a mignonette or other oyster accompaniment to the event for attendees to taste throughout and vote on their favorite bite. The second competition will be a "Speed Shuck" taking place half-way through the event - the chefs will race to perfectly shuck a plate of oysters!
This party in the park is free and open to the public to attend - oysters are complimentary for all attendees while supplies last, and beer, wine and cocktails will be available to purchase at RingSide's Dollar Oyster Monday special prices.
