I went to Shigezo with a few girlfriends and was initially blown away by the atmosphere of the restaurant. I felt like I was experiencing something much more genuine and traditional than most Japanese/sushi spots in Portland. The location was beautiful and when we were seated, we were served very quickly even though it was busy! The food was incredible as well. I had a bowl which contained very simple ingredients: Rice, salmon sashimi, and roe. It was so flavorful, fresh and satisfying I felt like I could have eaten another bowl! We had all also had the miso soup and sweet potato fries which were perfect as well! PLUS, the desserts shouldn’t be passed on! Overall, I loved this place and we will now frequenting it!
