As the dietary need (or taste preference) for gluten-free foods continues to grow in awareness and popularity, more and more dishes that have traditionally been gluten-heavy are joining the cause of freedom from wheat. Pizza is a food favorite, and with so many styles of baking and the near-endless list of possible toppings, it’s a dish that almost everyone loves. But for a long time, people who were allergic or sensitive to gluten were prohibited from enjoying a pizza pie… no more!

Here’s a quick snapshot of where to eat gluten-free pizza in Seattle...

Razzi’s Pizzeria | 8523 Greenwood Ave N | 206-782-9005

From classics to house specialties, Razzi’s Pizzeria offers you the chance to “savor without sacrifice”, especially when it comes to the gluten-free diet. In addition to pizza, Razzi’s Pizzeria has a full gluten-free menu with appetizers, salads, pastas, subs, gyros, paninis, and calzones that are wheat-free.

Elemental Pizza | 2634 NE University Village St | 206-524-4930

Specializing in delicious thin-crust wood-fired pizzas, Elemental Pizza focuses on the simple elements that result in great food: fresh, locally-sourced ingredients (as much as possible) and simple preparation that’s built on a slightly chemical approach. Their menu features classic pizzas such as the Margherita or Pepperoni, plus veggie-only and meat-licious options. Any of Elemental Pizza’s pies can be made gluten-free for $3 extra with Thomas Keller’s Cup-4-Cup gluten-free flour (does contain eggs and corn flour).

La Vita e Bella | 2411 2nd Ave | 206-441-5322

With a traditional Sicilian approach using Pacific Northwest ingredients, La Vita e Bella is an authentic Italian restaurant in Belltown. The menu includes a tasty selection of antipasti, salads, pastas, pizzas and meat entrees. Ingredients include rice and tapioca flour, water, potato starch and flakes, olive oil, sugar, yeast and salt.
