We all deserve a little splurge now and again! Save some room after dinner to indulge in these amazing Seattle sweets...
Cucina Americana | 9400 Roosevelt Way NE | 206-957-1333
The Italian sister to the brunch favorite on Capitol Hill, Cucina Americana opened in May of this year, and they have been serving delicious pasta and Italian entrees to satisfy inquisitive taste buds and hungry stomachs. Their dessert menu offers some notable treats that you really should save space for! I recommend sharing a Donut a la Mode, which is topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauces, icing and crunchy pecans. If you’re looking for something a little more simple, try one of Cheffrey’s unique milkshakes!
Petra Mediterranean Bistro | 2501 4th Avenue | 206-728-5389
You simply cannot enjoy a complete Mediterranean dinner without finishing with some Baklawa! Petra Mediterranean Bistro specializes in this tasty dessert, with six different ways to enjoy it and its close cousin, Burma. Try the combo dessert platter, or choose your Baklawa based on the nuts (cashews, pistachios, or walnuts).
Place Pigalle | 81 Pike Street | 206-624-1756
Set in its cozy spot in Pike Place Market, Place Pigalle is one of our city’s best French eateries. Its menu features classic French dishes such as Escargot, Onion Soup Gratinée, and Bouillabaisse. The French are also known for amazing desserts, so of course Place Pigalle offers the favored Creme Brûlée, but I recommend their decadent chocolate Pots de Crème. It’s rich, creamy, and deliciously chocolaty.
Tutta Bella | Multiple Locations
After dining on yummy Neapolitan-style pizza at Tutta Bella, don’t skip their desserts! From Panna Cotta to Tiramisù, they have you covered with classic Italian desserts. But their Gelati is something else, and I think it’s the perfect light finish after pizza. Enjoy a selection of flavors: vanilla, chocolate, lemon, salted caramel, chocolate chip, nutella, pear, or our seasonal option. Plus, Gelati is free for Tutta Bella first-timers!
