From the classics to the egg-centric (pun intended), here’s where Seattle breakfast crowds can chow down on omelettes and scrambles that will keep you coming back for more bites in between coffee refills.
Americana | 219 Broadway E | 206-328-4604
Each of Americana’s egg offerings is served with rosemary potatoes and your choice of toast. Choose from the vegetarian avocado and Pepper Jack omelette with fresh pico de gallo and sour cream; the chorizo, potato, and Manchego omelette with herbs, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and optional smoked salmon; or the chicken sausage scramble with scallions and Parmesan. Served daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cafe Campagne | 1600 Post Alley | 206-728-2233
Take advantage of the special daily summer brunch at this French-style Pike Place Market classic before Labor Day, when the kitchen will return to its regular weekend brunch rotation (don’t worry, it’s just as worth an early Saturday or Sunday wake-up call). Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., scarf down your favorite European-inspired omelette or scramble, each served with chicken and pork sausage, roasted potatoes, and baguette on the side. Try the oeufs brouillés (scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and a side of chicken and pork sausage), omelette choisy (a rolled omelette with herbs, escarole, and chèvre), or classic omelette with herbs and Comté cheese.
Lowell's Restaurant | 1519 Pike Pl | 206-622-2036
You’ll find an especially extensive lineup of omelettes and scrambles at one of Seattle’s favorite breakfast joints overlooking Elliott Bay. Highlights include the highly acclaimed Dungeness Crab Omelet (it’s been touted in The New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Food & Wine Magazine), the Alderwood Smoked King Salmon Scramble, and Seattle Joe’s Scramble (with sausage, spinach, mushrooms, green onions, and Parmesan cheese). Lowell’s even whips up a tasty “eggless” option just for vegan guests. Breakfast is served until 11 a.m. on weekdays and 11:30 a.m. on weekends!
Toulouse Petit | 601 Queen Anne Ave N | 206-432-9069
Another impressive brunch menu stacked with egg dishes for every palate. Expect no shortage of Cajun and Creole-inspired options, from the Big Easy Housemade Andouille Sausage Scramble with Tasso ham and black pepper gravy to the Smoked Trout Scramble with shallots, herbs, and creme fraiche. Each is served with breakfast potatoes, and you’ll even run across a handful of “breakfast happy hour” entrees. Begins at 8 a.m. daily.
