THIS JUST IN: CHEF RICK MOONEN JOINS FEAST IT FORWARDⓇ NETWORK AS FIRST CELEBRITY TALENT TO STAR IN NEW SERIES, “CAN I EAT THIS?”

Las Vegas, NV (May 28, 2015) —  Celebrity chef, cookbook author and sustainability seafood advocate, Rick Moonen will join the Feast it Forward Network, as its first celebrity talent in the all-new episodic series, “Can I Eat This?”, one of the many series currently under development by the network. On Friday May 29th, the announcement was made by Co-Founder and President of the Feast it Forward Network, Katie Hamilton Shaffer at BottleRock Napa music + food + wine festival.

“When dreaming up my vision for Feast it Forward, I wanted to incorporate all of my passions while creating something that could truly make an impact,” explains Shaffer. “I wanted it to be inspirational, yet entertaining. With Chef Moonen joining the FEAST, I’m ecstatic about what the future holds!”

For more than 25 years, Chef Rick Moonen has been considered the Godfather of Sustainability, bringing national awareness to this subject near and dear to his heart. Moonen, owner of Rick Moonen's rm seafood and Rx Boiler Room inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place in Las Vegas, will take viewers on an adventure from the sea and from the farm to the table to inspire a cleaner and more responsible future in food, raising the question “Can I Eat This?”.

“I am thrilled to team up with the Feast it Forward Network on this exciting all-new series, “Can I Eat This?”, said Moonen. “This will not just be your ordinary farm to table series, but instead will showcase how to be sustainable in a delicious and fun manner!"

In addition, Feast it Forward Network’s Katie Hamilton Shaffer will join Moonen and festival headliner Imagine Dragons on the Williams-Sonoma Culinary Stage this Friday, for a special cooking demonstration highlighting key network partners, while announcing the much anticipated and dynamic partnership between Moonen and the network.
