Heading to the Waterfront Blues Festival with food allergies or dietary restrictions? You are not alone. Festival food can be exciting, but it can also be tricky when you are looking for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan options.
The good news is that several vendors at this year’s Waterfront Blues Festival are already thinking about guests with different dietary needs. While festival kitchens can be fast-moving environments, and guests should always confirm ingredients and cross-contact risks directly with the vendor, these menus give festival-goers a great starting point for finding food that fits.
Flying Fish Co.

Flying Fish Co. is bringing a seafood-forward menu with several dairy-free and gluten-free options, making it a strong stop for guests looking for lighter, fresh festival food.
For dairy-free diners, Flying Fish Co. has several options clearly marked dairy free, including their Signature Oysters, Fish & Chips, Salmon Sando, and Jojos. Their Signature Oysters come with chili lime coconut cream, pineapple gel, crispy shallots, and cilantro, offering a bright and refreshing festival bite.
Guests looking for both gluten-free and dairy-free options may want to check out the Ceviche, Thai Shrimp Salad, Sweet Potato Fries, Kumquat Coconut Lemonade, and other clearly labeled items.
The Ceviche includes yellowfin tuna, bay scallops, bay shrimp, coconut cream, lime leaf, cilantro, chiles, and tortilla chips. The Thai Shrimp Salad features Oregon bay shrimp, fresh mango, Thai vinaigrette, chiles, cucumber, arugula, cilantro, and puffed rice.
A few helpful notes: the Salmon Sando is dairy free but contains gluten, and the tartar sauce contains egg. Ranch is also available, but it contains dairy.

Cobra Dogs

Cobra Dogs is also offering flexibility for guests with different dietary needs. Their signature classic hot dogs can be made with vegetarian options, and several items can be made vegan.
According to Cobra Dogs, The Bun Me, Cobra Style, and OG can be made vegan. For guests avoiding gluten, Cobra Dogs also offers lettuce wraps in place of buns.
Their hot dogs range from $9 to $13, with an additional $3 charge for vegan or vegetarian dogs.
This makes Cobra Dogs a helpful option for festival-goers who want something classic, quick, and customizable without feeling limited to only one menu item.

A Few Tips for Dining With Food Allergies at the Festival
Festival food is fun, but food allergy safety always deserves an extra step. Before ordering, ask the vendor if ingredients have changed, whether items share fryers, grills, prep areas, or utensils, and whether sauces or toppings contain common allergens.
Menus can shift during busy festival service, so it is always best to confirm directly with the team at the booth before ordering.
For guests with severe allergies, it may also be helpful to visit food vendors during slower moments, when staff may have more time to answer questions carefully.
More Allergy-Friendly Updates Coming Soon
We are continuing to collect menu details from food vendors at the 2026 Waterfront Blues Festival. As more vendors share gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-conscious options, we will update this guide to help festival-goers plan their visit with more confidence.
Whether you are coming for the music, the food, the riverfront views, or all of the above, Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival is a celebration worth savoring. And with a little planning, more guests can find something delicious that works for them.
